Living Lab - Learning for the Future launches

The Living Lab - Learning for the Future has launched at Radboud University's Faculty of Social Sciences.

In this interdisciplinary lab, researchers want to strengthen interfaculty AI research by taking on projects and addressing societal challenges together.

Local collaborations then serve as a catalyst for national and international initiatives in the field of AI for learning.

The lab launched with Perspectives on 21st Century Skills opening symposium on November 22 held at the University's campus in Nijmegen.

Jakob Mainert, an industrial–organizational psychologist from Berlin, gave a lecture before short speeches in the faculty's Maria Montessori Building from Prof Daniël Wigboldus, chair of the board of the University, as well as the lab's lead researchers Professor Harold Bekkering and Assistant Professor Inge Molenaar

Symposium attendees then enjoyed an engaging forum discussion moderated by Dorien Wellen, manager Strategic Relations at the faculty.

Joining Jakob in taking part were cognitive psychology scientist Harold, behavioral scientist Inge, represenatives from the CognAC (AI) and SPiN (psychology) student associations, Johan Verweij from Microsoft Education, Marc Oosterhout from SIRE and Tonny Siemons from Go2the.cloud.
